This week's Zero Punctuation has Yahtzee taking on Batman: Arkham Asylum with his usual wit and satire. While admitting that the game is actually quite good (as we all know it to be) he still manages to find a few things to gripe about.

Could of been better. Or not.

"Arham Asylum"? Never heard of it.

Anyway, glad he liked the game... to the point where his nitpicking sounds like he's reaching really hard for material. The last bit was funny, even though I actually like Batman / Bruce Wayne a lot.

    Edit: Fixed spelling.

Oh, did I typo? Lol. 9:30 AM is early for me, lemme alone.

And yeah, it did seem like he was trying hard to find flaws in the game. Predictably awful games are too easy for him, he needs a challenge every now and then.

Not his best, but certainly not his worst. It kept me entertained.

this is what we get when yahtzee actually likes a game. just be glad he usually hates them.

the point about the game forcing you into 'detective mode' for the entire game totally ruining the graphics is something that annoyed me as well. i found myself going back through the various areas to find obvious weakened walls and whatnot after i beat the joker because i decided to actually play through parts of the game as the graphic designers intended the first time around - and consequentially missed a bunch of stuff.

Yeah detective mode is practically on 24/7 for me. Once I beat hard I'll see about going through the game without it. Don't get to see how great the game looks through that scanner.

I had Detective mode on in the Demo just about the whole time and was worried I'd do that in the game. But . . . oddly I had no problems playing the game mostly with it off and only using it for short bursts!

Same here, HisServant77. After playing the demo, I was worried I'd spend most of the game in Detective Mode. But I ended up having to remind myself to turn the damn thing on. xP

lol at the crack about Batman villains having superb human resources, liked that one. oh and also 'black and terrible flasher of the night'

he had a point about the boss fights though, aside from the subtle and nicely done Scarecrow ones.

I thought the fights really helped to bring out the villains style. The cast aren't big on fighting, and some Batman knows he can't man-handle anyway. Batman's gallery is what also makes him epic. Sequel needs Catwoman, Penguin, and heck maybe even Hush and Slade to give Batman some good fights.
