Almost a month till the game releases, and the reviews are already coming out. IGN gives its take on the highly anticipated game, and gives it a 9.5.

More than any other game to date, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune seems to define the PlayStation 3. Naughty Dog's 2007 jungle romp starring the one and only Nathan Drake gave gamers a taste of what it would be like to play as an acrobatically-inclined Indiana Jones. With stunning visuals (that still rank amongst the best in gaming today), a fantastically told story, great puzzles and high-octane gunplay, it's easily one of the best titles of this console generation.

Now Naughty Dog returns to the spotlight with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Both expectedly and amazingly, Naughty Dog has indeed bested Nate's first adventure and has created a sequel that is not only bigger and better in practically every way, but also packs a multiplayer component that could be released as its own separate, full-priced game and people would stand in line to hand over their cash.

Yes, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is fantastic.

holy crap! 9.5 is pretty damn good. but then again, ign tend to be a little more lenient than other reviewers. at least it surpassed the first game.

Very nice, this seems to indicate the earlier reviews were accurate

Hmm 9.5 is nice. I just pre-ordered my copy of U2:AT yesterday. So far there's been great reviews (10's and 9's) from a bunch of different sites, but I don't think they have a real say in the matter, IGN and gamespot etc do.

Even after their 10 for MGS4 and their 9 for inFamous, I still don't take them seriously as a review website. I only use their site for news.

Sometimes they have the most ridiculous reasons for docking points, and that they seem to have this odd habit for giving everything 7.5s lately.

Read the review, not the score.

That was my point though; I read their reviews and sometimes they just don't seem like they know what they're talking about.

Also about the 7.5s; they just don't seem to reflect the review itself. Almost as if they're too bored to actually think about the number or something.

I'd say Ign and Gamespot are still the most credible for reviews.

      ... what?

You do realize that the larger sites receive more kickbacks and special treatment from PR and publishers, don't you?

Budget is more often inversely proportionate to credibility.

GameSpot is bullshit and has biased reviewers. IGN is way cooler and this game probably got the score it deserved. A 10 would be nice though.

He can't give 10/10 without hurting some people's feelings.
But he said about the review : "Naughty Dog delivers a stellar sequel that impresses from start to finish, and that doesn't even include the multiplayer." ....
