Electronic Theatre delivers an in-depth review of Halo 3: ODST, released throughout North America and Europe (and many other territories) yesterday exclusively on Xbox 360.

Despite the absence of one Master Chief, Halo 3: ODST delivers a genuine game of Halo. The fine tuning of level structure, weapon balance and enemy placement are immaculately cohesive in their design, and the plot is stretched just as thin despite the surprisingly interesting premise. To regard Halo 3:ODST as a compliment to Halo 3 may well be the most fitting appraisal, but to suggest that it hasn’t justifiably made the leap from expansion to a full-priced retail boxed product would be comprehensively misleading.
