Neoseeker reviews Demon's Souls: "The PS3's best game yet"

Neoseeker contributor Heath Flor (you know him as kik36) has readied his third (I think) review for us today, this one for Atlus/From Software's RPG Demon's Souls.

I won't spoil the details for you, but let's just say he likes it. A lot.

Every once in a blue moon a game comes along that challenges your abilities as a gamer. Demon's Souls is one of these games. With its enemies that one-hit kill you, and traps that are hell-bent on seeing you dead, Demon's Souls pulls no punches. It is by far one of the most difficult and challenging games that you will ever play. However, I will not declare that it's a game only for the hardcore. No fellow gamers, this is a game that is only for those with an abundance of patience and devotion.

    I've always been a really big fan of Atlus (Persona!!!) as a champion of the niche game... but this looks to be their best effort ever. I honestly thought that most of Oblivion was easy, so I hope this really lives up to the reviewer's entry.

      This was made by FromSoftware, not Atlus, Atlus USA published it.

    Well it certainly suprised me how much he liked it, don't think the difficulty and lack of story will do it for me though.

    I've been on/off Demon's souls for awhile but it gets to the point where I can't be arsed getting past certain obstacles (Late in the game, not near the start)

      Well obviously those without determination need not apply. If you want a game to just casually breeze through, this isn't it.

    It can definitely be a difficult game, but I think many gamers are up for it! I can't wait for it to release!

    Shame that this game is not coming to Europe any time soon, and that we are forced to import it to play this amazing game :\
