Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

Dead Space: Extraction is the upcoming horror game to the Wii. A prequel to the highly popular Dead Space. Extraction hopes to be one of the few very good mature games on a console populated with kids games. 1up has posted their review of the game and this defiantly should be added to Wii gamers collection.
Final Score=B+
Dead Space was one of last year's more pleasant surprises. A space-horror-shooter mashup that combined the ammo conservation and "jump" scares of the survival horror genre with a strong, original narrative. But whenever an idea like that turns into a franchise, it's easy to become skeptical -- especially when an Xbox360/PS3 title comes to the Wii. Fortunately, Dead Space: Extraction treats its source material with respect. Developer Visceral Studios shows the right way to bring an adult, console shooter to the Wii; this is an extension of Dead Space's story, not some quick Wii cash-in.
Extraction is a prequel that takes place before Dead Space's protagonist, Isaac, boards the USG Ishimura. This time, four colonists from Aegis VII escape the planet -- only to experience first-hand the alien Necromorphs' takeover of the very ship that is supposed to save them. Unlike the first game, you don't play through as a single character; Extraction is an on-rails shooter where you assume the roles of several of the survivors. It doesn't assume or necessitate any knowledge of the previous game, but it provides a lot of details and back story for fans hungry to learn more about Dead Space's universe.
