Perhaps one of the most anticipated games this year is Halo ODST. While it may not officially be Halo 4 it's the best thing Halo fans have at getting that. The game has the core traits that Halo is known for with a few new additions but is it worth picking up even if you're a big fan of the franchise?

Bungie got fed up with making smash hit titles and slightly tweaking the game to improve upon a winning formula to take a gamble on a different genre of game while being forced to stick to the Halo name.

The game falls short of being a successor of Halo 3, while failing at striking out to become a more realistic and adult shooter. It's also extremely short, with virtually no replay value. It feels as though this should have been a DLC side mission rather than a full priced retail game.

lackluster side story? It just shows [SPOILERZ] how the prophet of truth found the ark portal, what happened to new mombasa, and some ONI backstory, which as far only appeared in the books, along with the Huragoks/Engineers, so the game even brought canon things into it from the books, like the Behemoth and the spy drones.

Its a Halo Fan's dream come true, and a great tactical game. Legendary is IMPOSSIBLE unless you use your brain instead of going in guns blazing.

Tactics? I must've missed something, the only gameplay I've experienced it's "Get from point A to B" while eliminating waves of Covenant with the weapons/grenades of your choice. If it wasn't for online co-op, the solo campaign would put me to sleep.

Tactics. On legendary you obviously cannot run in from point A to B. Because you have health, a weak sheild, and limited ammo, thus tactics comes in. Do you snipe from a safe place while a buddy distracts the enemy? Or do you throw grenades as a distraction, so they leap out of the way and you run on by?

      Tactics.

So you mean the same thing you can do in, like, every other linear FPS? I can't really remember the last time I played a FPS campaign that I could literally run into a bunch of enemies and kill them all without so much as a scratch...might as well call Killzone 2 one of the most tactically advanced shooters out there while you're at it.

Mobs of enemies shooting at you and your partner, you take cover and potshots.

        Tactics?
