If you are someone getting sick of the run and gun shooters and want to play a more tactical shooter this holiday season, Dragon Rising is the the game for you. IGN have posted their review and have given it a pretty good score. Check out the full written review after the jump.

Final Score=7.8/10

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising has proven one thing: I would not last long in a modern war. Not only would I die quickly, I'd die in embarrassing ways. Nobody remembers the heroics of the soldier that stuck his head up in the midst of a hail of gunfire or the idiot that ran out into the open field without checking for enemies on the perimeter. Keep your head down. Keep your adrenaline in check. These are the lessons you'll have to take to heart if you want to survive on the battlefield; in real life or in Operation Flashpoint.

Yet they still haven't reviewed Demon's Souls (last I checked). Shame, IGN, shame.

This game was needing the review more.. The game is out in the US and out tomorrow and yet IGN's review is like the games 6th official review, Demon's Souls has been reviewed by a plethora of websites since early 2009.

Like how Destructoid said they couldn't release their review yet because they couldn't finish it?

This game is pretty bad ass. Hard as *bleep* to get used to though. The first mission alone is taking me like half an hour to completely beat.

Haha yeah I got really far in the first mission and died foolishly. For whatever reason I forgot I was playing a war sim and detonated a charge when I was stood about 20 yards from it as in Call of Duty and such you can do that with no damage, I died in quite spectacular fashion taking out my squad while I was at it haha. Very very tense game, sneaking around in the cover of morning darkness is so much fun not knowing if an enemy is going to jump out of the undergrowth and kill me and my squad.

The original Operation Flashpoint came before ARMA on PC. Then there was a Operation Flashpoint on the original xbox and now this one.
