Resumeplay's Jack Patton is closing in on his anniversary since becoming a writer for amateur game sites on the net. Yet despite reviewing dozens of games he has never once awarded any game a perfect score. Then again, he has never come across a game quite like FROM software's Demon's Souls before...

Around February/April I forked out £39.99 on a risky eBay seller to get my hands on the Asian edition of Demon’s Souls (Which had the complete English setting on disk). If you’ve been a long term regular to Resumeplay you may, or more like may not, have read my initial review/preview of Demon’s Souls some time back in early May. Since the game hadn’t been released to the USA, our likely audience, I spent the majority of my time explaining to you what the game was about and not actually telling you what I thought of it. At the start this was because I wasn’t entirely sure about Demon’s Souls. However, after literally months of toil, grinding, frustration, failure & triumph I’ve finally come to my conclusion.

I'm a little strapped for cash at the moment. Not so sure anymore that I'm getting this. If it can get a metascore of 90, then I'll get it. Until then, I have some important things I need to get elsewhere.

It did have 90 before, and if Resumeplay (us) & Neoseeker (this) signed up to submit our scores (95, Neo, & 100, RP) to Metacritic then it would be 90+

I've broken Gameboys and such before from being so frustrated with games and I think that by the sounds of this game, how hard it is I don't think I'll have a TV after playing this game by the sounds of things...

No you wont thats how amazing it is XD.

You just wanna get back at it, you mutter some abuse at YOURSELF but you never actually find it in you to blame the game.
