Our own PangTong_Blademaster has played through Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and chimes in with a final verdict today. It shouldn't come as a surprise to many it's one of Neoseeker's highest-scored reviews yet...

The review goes in-depth on the SP and MP modes as well as the plot. Dude seems to know what he's talking about, so check it out.

One of Uncharted 2's strongest points is presentation. Naughty Dog have just about flexed every muscle to make the game look completely unforgettable. Spanning several locations which each have a different feel, helpfully represented by an intriguing palette of colors. From the luscious forests of Borneo, and Ice caves of Tibet, to the train wreck and urban sector of Nepal, there is always something that catches the eye. Landmarks and sudden events such as tumbling boulders or explosions are all caught by the amazing work behind within the camera manager, making every minute of the game action-packed. Drake’s Fortune was renowned its amazing visual and water effects, and Naughty Dog have trumped it by including snowy effects too. I may sound like a raving nerd, but I have never stopped to look at a puddle for so long.

      Hmm... you have a point.

Guess we'll knock it down to 9.0 so you'll be content with a whole number.

Democracy? Feh. Democracy or Anarchy, lets have a vote.

          Vote? Owait.

I'm more a fan of anarchy for sure, though all political systems have some things in common..

Don't know if this has been mentioned. Though those who have older versions of the PS3 are going to have some problems running U2 in single player, seeing as they either tend to shut down automatically or overheat too quickly. This is becoming like a bit of a problem, I can see a lot of people even getting the yellow light in the Uncharted 2 forums.

Hoping to hell Naughty Dog can do something about this.

Seems very unlikely that would be due to the game.

Actually it is. Here are plenty of complaints from people who have had their PS3 shut down/heat up in a matter of minutes of playing U2, and I can personally testify to this as my PS3 suffers the same thing. It affects mostly (if not only) those that bought the early PS3's (20G, 60G, maybe 80G). It's probably the first time I would WANT the game to have an optional installation, to see if it even helps the strain on the PS3.

That's strange.I'm running U2 on an original 60GB model and I haven't had a single problem with it.

I am happy with 9.9, though I could find no flaws with the game, 10 represents a game that is completely grounbreaking, and thought Uncharted 2 is leading the way for next gen action/shooter titles, it takes a lot of credit from combining various other elements from other titles.
