The highly anticipated Modern Warfare 2 has just been released and so have the reviews. The game is guaranteed to sell well, but will nit match up with quality? Check out these reviews below!

100: GamesRadar:Anyone who already has issues with the single-player ‘style’ of IW’s games will still find fault with the scripted, linear experience, but in terms of sheer drama and show-stopping set-pieces accompanied by laser sharp FPS controls, Modern Warfare 2 is your daddy. And that’s without Spec Ops and Multiplayer.

100: Gamepro:As much as I liked the single-player, even I have to admit that the multiplayer is where the real action is, and its new additions should (hopefully) help counterbalance some (but probably not all) of the dissension that will arise from the n00b friendly changes I noted.

100: 1up:Mixing real-world locations with bombastic set-pieces MW2 continues the guided, thrill-ride experiences of its predecessor, and adds even more depth to its multiplayer offerings. It might not have fixed all the problems from the first game, but there's just so much quality content packed into this game that it will almost certainly be one of the most-played games in your library for a long time to come.

95: Gametrailers:The air of unpredictability and the care that was paid to each separate element puts it in lofty company. The multiplayer hasn't received an overhaul, but considering most shooters are still playing catch-up with Call of Duty 4, the tweaks and twists make it the best multiplayer shooting experience in the industry. Few games manage to meet such high expectations.

95: IGN:For those planning to check out everything Modern Warefare 2 has to offer – online competition, full co-op Spec Ops mode, as well as the campaign – you’re looking at a no-brainer purchase. For the strictly single player crowd, however, Modern Warfare 2 is surprisingly short, and doesn’t live up to the standard set by previous Call of Duty games.

90: Eurogamer:Modern Warfare 2 balances the spectacle and silliness of its single-player campaign with a deep, enduring multiplayer core, carefully covering its bases for players of all persuasions. But there is no denying it seeks merely to build upon the successes of its forebear while doing very little to expand its scope or redefine them.

90: Edge:A dazzling package. A singleplayer campaign crammed with set-pieces that pull the player through at breakneck speed sits alongside Spec Ops, 23 co-op missions and a MW greatest hits package, before that superlative multiplayer, which really needs no introduction. With such attractions on offer, this is a shooter that demands playing, and playing again. It is still Call Of Duty, but its execution is skilful, mostly thoughtful, and it boasts the highest of production values.

And now we await the bandwagon who will say how generic and terrible the game is.

Unless you're a PC gamer, then I'd understand without explanation, but it's not like there's many of them on Neo/GG.

Hardware section, including gamers? Because...there isn't many members on Steam or gen. pc games sections, nor are there many in most of the PC versions or PC exclusives. If they are gamers like I mentioned, then why aren't they in the right section? xD

          Yeah true. And so depressing.
I guess they're just in it for the hardware. I've never understood why a lot of people seem to be really into hardware and barely if at all into games. Not much point...

Yeah I'd say, got a nice rig but not doing anything with it. I guess for company software, multi-tasking, etc., but you don't need a "supercomputer" for that. Eh, maybe it's just a hobby, albeit odd one. xD

This game could be praised for heralding the second coming of Jesus and I'm still probably not going to buy it. I was hounded to buy the first, so I rented it, and never touched it again afterwards.

Also, either this is a year of incredibly well-crafted games, or the standards of critics is beginning to drop.

The latter is a definite possibility judging by the kind of praise heaped on Fallout 3. I'll give the benefit of the doubt it was pretty good, but compared to its predecessors, there's no way it deserved what it got.

I've never been a part of the whole MW debacle. Has never interested me, so seeing the game as hyped as it is/was kinda makes me scratch my head. But hey, if its any good and actually lives up to its unnecessary and overwhelming hype, then good. Not many games nowadays do that.

If not, then it can rest with the other pyle of overhyped games that were GTAIV, Gears 2, and Halo 3 (not that they were bad games but I didn't get all I wanted out of them).
