Neoseeker's Lydia Sung has finished up her review of the much hyped Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The game has been praised left and right by critics, but she's a tough old bird, so does she agree? Well, yes.

The release of Modern Warfare 2 set global records, outdoing even Hollywood in terms of launch revenue. Even gamers previously unfamiliar with the Call of Duty games took notice, given how much hype MW2 has received. Expectations were set incredibly high, which often results in great disappointment. Really though, does the game live up to all this excitement? Short answer is "yes." The newest Call of Duty is armed with a riveting campaign that picks up where Modern Warfare left off, and the introduction of SpecOps adds another dimension to the revamped multiplayer.

Good review but everyone knows the console version of MW2 is decent, hell I dislike the CoD series but even I know on the console it is a decent FPS.

I have only seen one decent PC review on the Internet since release and that's one that hasn't been paid out by Activision or IW. It's quite funny actually, it seems that all major reviewing websites are staying away from the PC version and concentrating on the console version.

Well, ya' gotta remember that Activision decides who can review what. We actually requested the PC version first, and VeGi is still waiting for that. Meanwhile, they went ahead and sent me the 360 version...

I assume they're trying to avoid sending too many PC copies out for... obvious reasons.

Heh, I know, it just annoys me that they would avoid sending the PC version for obvious reasons, then again I find it amusing that hackers are spending more time and effort in making the PC version better than the actual company that made it

It's one thing I've always admired about the PC community.

I thought it was pretty much a copy of the first once I finished it. Not very much new in terms of improvement. Basically COD4 with new locales.
