We review The Ashes Cricket 2009, by the now defunct Transmission Games. It's a solid cricket sim, but lacks replay value and any solid customisation options. ICC endorsement would have helped too!

In this regard, the game has kind of failed to come up with a reason for the player to come back. The achievements and unlockable items can all be easily won within 10 hours of gameplay. The customisation for characters is extremely weak, thus there is no overwhelming urge to build it up to be a decent character. You can only choose between pre-made faces (all of which are already being used as international players) and thus there is no investment in the character.
