IGN have posted their review for Bayonetta. Giving to different version, one for the PS3 and one of the Xbox 360. The reviews are pretty solid and Bayonetta is making its way to becoming another top action adventure game.

PS3 Final score=8.2
360 final score=9.5

Bayonetta could have been the best action game on the PS3. After all, this over-the-top affair from Hideki Kamiya and his team at Platinum Games not only delivers some of the coolest combat mechanics around but it coats the experience in an eccentric, hyper-stylish shell. Unfortunately, the PS3 port of Bayonetta is a very disappointing piece of software. I love Bayonetta -- just look at my review of the 360 version for proof. But Bayonetta on the PS3 is a whole different beast.

The PS3 version has a lot of problems, primary among them being the excessive slowdown and loading. During certain scenes of high action, Bayonetta can slow down dramatically, enough to affect the gameplay experience. I can usually tolerate that sort of issue to an extent, but the loading problems are simply unacceptable.

Bayonetta is one of the coolest female characters I've ever come across in gaming. Although her sexuality is highlighted at almost every turn (which might lead gamers to believe she's a stereotypical heroine), she is also immensely powerful, calm and confident. Bayonetta is one of my main reasons to play the game, as she's just terribly fun to watch.

      lol u rated a demo.

The game itself is hilarious, and if you ignore the hype and shit, its a great hack-n-slash on par with the other greats of the gaming world. Bayonetta cannot surpass the men, but she stands on equal ground.

Personally, I welcome our new Witch Overlord.

Well, I rated a demo because playing an available demo is how I decide weather I'm going to buy the game.

I did not like the demo, I will not buy the game. Logical imo

You know that exclaimer at the beginning of a demo?

"This demo is not a final representation of this product."

That usually means the finished game is vastly different then the demo.

Also, you should just put the 7 bucks towards RENTING the game. That way you can "demo" the entire game and see if you like it. Rating it based on a demo is bull, unfortunately.

Rating a game on a demo? rediculous. A game can't have a real rating until it has been completed from start to finish.

Also the demo was really good. I actually played it through twice in a row because I enjoyed it so much.

Yeah the demo was a great demo compared to other demos, i played it 5times before removing it from my harddrive. Looking forward to seeing the final product play out come January!

Kratos and Bayonetta need to hook up and have some demigod demon babies who have their own spinoff games. Don't forget the blacksheep of the family, the uncle no one likes, Dante from Dante's Inferno

I'm really looking forward to Bayonetta. I got to play the demo and had a lot of fun. I know a lot of people have been getting on the game for being a "watered down DMC" and the sex appeal factor. I don't find Bayonetta to be "sexy" I find her to be funny and I think that is the most appealing thing, her over the top personality. Just like how Dante was cheesy as hell... And a watered down DMC? No, it's really not Looking forward to picking up this game, hopefully the day it is released.

Know what? The creators of DMC have really topped themselves here, they've improved so much on what DMC already was and Bayonetta is fantastic and plays greatly, seriously i thought DMC was good until i played this!

Can't wait for it to come out, it's definitely going to be the best hack and slash game of 2010.

But if GoW3 was multiplat I'm sure you'd be singing a different tune.

Er no? Damn if you actually paid attention to some things I said, You'd understand i'm buying a PS3 and will be getting God of War 3 WITH IT when it comes out. I'm a big fan of God of War and whilst i like the games, I can't see God of War 3 being anything ground braking.

          But... Bayonetta is ground-breaking?

Usually I don't notice major changes from demo to game. And even if the changed a lot.. for me the whole combat system is boring.. I admit that the combo list is a step up from the combat of games like god of war where one button could send you into a frenzy.

I think, for me. It's mostly the theme of the game in general that I don't like. in my mind I think, really? another last hope?

maybe I'll buy it when i've had a break from the titles that lunge you into the fate of the world resting on your shoulders.. but for now i'm wait and see where this game goes.

What's so wrong with the PS3 version that it had to get rated so much lower?

according to the review, textures and visibly low quality, large quantity of slow down and freezing. Apparently enough for them to lower the score.

Although it seems they are really overhyping the game now, I'm still gonna look into buying it (though it seems more of a rent for me, but I'm certainly gonna give it a shot).
