Hong Kong Magazine Gives Final Fantasy XIII A 4/10 - "Biggest Swindle In Gaming History"

A "casual, borderline-retarded journalist" (yes, the review's disclaimer actually said that!) from a popular Hong Kong gaming magazine has given Final Fantasy XIII a mere 4/10, calling it the "biggest swindle in gaming history" and the "biggest joke of 2009."

The review itself seems biased, but still, a 4/10? Ouch!

Scenario: 2.0 — "An epic tear jerker"
System: 1.0 — "Such a crude system barely warrants being called an RPG at all."
Graphics: 9.0 — "Full marks here."
Sound: 7.0 — "Mostly quality."
Enthusiasm: 1.0 - "As if you could play this for 100 hours! I could put up with 8."
Total: 4.0 — "To think it got this bad…"

"The game is complete linearity until the open areas near the end. You can't even backtrack."

    DoC was fun, though mediocre. Squeenix just can't do much outside the RPG genre, really.

    I'm shocked at this low review, though. It's a little...too low. Still, I'm gonna go with the rest of the gang here and assume they are doing this for attention, heh.

    Obviously attention seeking. Either that or just someone who hates RPG's and shouldn't be allowed to review them. I don't understand how people can call themselves reviewers when they say in the review that they havn't even finished the game. NOBODY should ever be allowed to write a review without even finishing the game first.

      Unfortunately, most RPG reviews are written before the reviewer has finished the game, due to time restrictions.

    I am disappointed in the FFXIII title, but 4/10! Wow!
    They must have really disliked the title.

    Or nitpicking to the extreme. Good move though.
    Everyone loves to read about the magazine who rips apart a much-hyped title..
