A review of an older title, the article breaks down the graphics and sound, but primarily focuses on what the writer views as broken or unpolished gameplay, at one point stating the game can't even be called a boxing title.

Facebreaker could have been a spectacular game. I couldn't help but believe that the developers made a genuine effort to create a fun game worth playing. Unfortunately, bad AI and broken elements create an ugly experience that turns most away within minutes of popping the disc in.

Coming from somebody that has gotten all of the achievements legitimately (Believe me, it was not easy) I can say that the game is not all about luck. The AI has patterns which you can pick up after getting beat about 10 million times but there is a skill to playing Facebreaker. Funnily enough I traded this in just three days ago. I've also played against the top 10 players many times (There wasn't many other people playing tbh) so getting my 50 wins took the piss and I'm sure they would agree with me that it's not totally luck based.
