Gamekult recently reviewed the upcoming RPG Resonance of Fate
(known as End of Eternity in Japan) and, despite some complaints, they were mostly impressed, calling it "one of the most original titles of this generation."

A friendly hybrid between puzzle game and classic RPG, End of Eternity is one of the most original titles of this generation. Unfortunately, the playful qualities of the title are clouded by the grueling challenge. If you are patient and a strategist, this will prove to be a real treat, albeit sometimes devious, but finely chiseled. Add to this the little extras, like very interesting characters stuffed with irony, the ability to customize their appearance or the many optional missions, and you get a rich -but sometimes harsh- game, and that does more than remain persistent.
Hopefully, a rebalancing of the difficulty will be made for the European version.

Pros:
  • Combat System is truly innovative.
  • Possibility to customize the appearance of characters.
  • Dialogue is cool, and original situations.

    Cons:
  • Difficulty is frustrating.
  • Level-up is a little instinctive.
  • Graphics very gray.

I played the demo in japanese and didn't know how to pull off co-op attacks, but from what I saw its awesome. Cinematic combat is fun.

See, this is a JRPG that looks like it could be pretty interesting to me. Which is amazing because most JRPG's look ridiculous and samey to me.

Amen to that, there's like 5-6 titles which are 'must haves' and you could really get another 5-6 quite easily.

Luckily for me, my friend and I are splitting the costs.

Seriously, I've kept my eye on this game for a little bit, because a friend told me about it in school. Must get.
