It's round three of Eurogamer's cross-platform face-off that pits the PS3 versus the Xbox 360 in a showdown of performance, gameplay, and graphics. This time around we get to see the comparisons for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Sonic the Hedgehog, The Elder Scrolls: IV, Tony Hawk's Project 8, and 2 from Tom Clancy.

The objectives here are very straightforward. Due to the way that code is distributed by the publishers, Eurogamer tends to review the Xbox 360 games first, so the main aim is to play 'catch-up' and provide additional platform-specific commentary where appropriate. We're interested in any gameplay differences, along with peripheral or feature support exclusive to a particular console. But additionally, we're also keen on charting the progress of cross-format development more generally, so we also provide technical observations and comparison shots that highlight the similarities and differences between the various versions.

As always it seems to be more a case of lazy developers than the consoles problem, i mean they even stated Activision cut corners on making Tony Hawks Pro Skater... It is pathetic.

Yeah but I guess it saves them a lot of time and money and saving money is important for developers.

I agree Existens. This seems to be very rushed, indeed.

There's a huge difference between developers being lazy and developers not being taught enough about the platform they're developing for.

Cutting corners on a game doesn't mean developers are lazy; it means the company is trying to pump product out the door and is willing to sacrifice quality over dollars.

I also agree with Cdemon. If a company won't give a developer time to learn the system, how is that developer being lazy? He/she is probably working away and trying to figure things out as they go

I want quality screw money its not alway about money. Like the saying quality over quantity. You may have more of something but how good is it.

That's not the point. All consumers want a quality game but the company that is making the game wants to save money and therefore they push the developers and the game gets released earlier, saving them money, but having less quality.

Thus resulting in a piece of *bleep* game. And example of this is NHL 07 on the ps2. The xbox 360 one featured a skill stick.
Ps2 one supposed to have one too, like it said on the box. Problem was it didnt have it, false advertisement. Thus making the game a downgrade from NHL06. NHL 06 pwns that game.

Those images comparing the graphics of the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 are basically the same, I just see bit more light in the PS3 version. Still, basically the same and you have to be a proper graphic obsessed person to buy the PS3 over 360 because of that.
