Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

PS3node reviews the strategy RPG/JRPG hybrid that has become one of the largest available games on the Playstation Network. Does the title hold up to the likes of Disgaea or Final Fantasy Tactics?
In 1998, gamers were treated to a little game called Final Fantasy Tactics that showed just how awesome a properly done strategy RPG could be. In 2003, developer Nippon Ichi released the first Disgaea, which was a testament to how far the genre could be stretched. These two games have been the model for most modern strategy RPGs, which is understandable considering they’re both amazing games. So what would a developer need to do to raise the bar again? Well, I’ll tell you what they shouldn’t do: add more JRPG elements.
