Super Mario Galaxy is still hailed today as one of the best games not only on Wii, but in the game-o-sphere in general. Now Nintendo has released Super Mario Galaxy 2, UK-based website Cubed3 has taken the game for a spin in this in-depth review to see how the sequel compares to its predecessor.

Ever since Nintendo took Mario into the world of 3D with Super Mario 64, fans have been clamouring for a true sequel to the truly magnificent experience, and looked to be getting what they asked for with talk of a Super Mario 64-2 being in development. Nothing ever emerged during the Nintendo 64’s lifetime, and when Super Mario Sunshine finally arrived on the GameCube, the general consensus was that it lacked many of the elements that made Super Mario 64 so special.
