A fairly balanced review by Eric of XboxEdge.com. The review looks at the obvious problems with Alpha Protocol while highlighting enough positives that is does not come across as overly negative.

    I think this game is very hard to grade. There are plenty of flaws in the game and nothing really stands out. But like he stated, there are some things that make you come back for more.

    Actually Obsidian is sitting on a gold mine with this IP. If they manage to work out the huge technical problems with the combat gameplay, they'd have a AAA title.

    Also a little work with the dialogue and decision making. I know putting a timer on conversations is practical, but giving me 5 seconds to choose is not convenient. Though your choices do have positive AND negative effects throughout the game and sometimes hold more consequences than even some of the things you do in Mass Effect.

    I'm just saying, if they make a sequel with a lot of fixes, I'd welcome it.
