Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

Xbox Evolved's review on the sequel to Crackdown, Crackdown 2. Shipping worldwide to retail stores tomorrow, fans and readers can get an early look on what the game offers for their money. The review is generally less favorable on the fact that it feels more like an overpriced expansion pack.
The original Crackdown was a bit of a conundrum for me. It was very much a pure sandbox title (one of my favorite genres I might add) that featured solid free roaming, decent player progression, co-op, good mix of artillery at your disposal, morphing cars, side challenges and a lot of stuff that you could blow up. The cell shading was also a nice touch and made the title stand aside from the rest. However, its story was lacking to the point that it was virtually on life support, had inconsistent jumping and grabbing mechanics that often times would either lead to your accidental suicide jump or just re-climbing up something that took way too damn long to do in the first place and was incredibly repetitive.
