Raymond Herrera from Examiner.com reviews Atlus USA’s well known RPG, Persona 3 Portable, which is a more streamlined version of its previous release for the PlayStation 2. In addition to making it easier to play it also comes with an all new lead character choice with new social links.

All-in-all Persona 3 Portable manages to stay just as entertaining as the original while managing to offer a new experience for those gamers that have already played it on the PlayStation 2. While not having the anime cut scenes did hurt it a bit having the original voice cast return made it still feel like the same game and having the option for a new lead manages to keep things interesting for those gamers wondering if playing it again is worth it. The soundtrack also managed to remain just as energetic and entertaining as before.

Persona 3 Portable is definitely worth picking up for those gamers that haven’t had a chance to play it, and for those that have it is still something they should look into as the new lead option keeps the game entertaining and worth another 50 hours of play through I did wish they would have been able to add the extra “The Answer” section from Persona 3 FES. Persona 3 Portable is easily one of the best PSP games released this year.
