If you have previously played Calamity Trigger, you should have no problem picking up the controls of Continuum Shift. Each character is capable of a strong, medium and weak attack as well as a drive attack that is specific to the character that you choose. This makes each character play completely differently and begins to eliminate the button mashing problem that plagues many fighting games.
