So here's my review of Dead Space 2. I wasn't originally going to write this but I thought I should write some more for the site.

I have some mixed feelings about the game, but generally I enjoyed it. If you want to see my full thoughts, click the link.

It's usually pretty easy for me to think of ways a developer could improve upon a game in its sequel. Such was not the case with the original Dead Space. The game improved upon the survival horror and over-the-shoulder combat systems of Resident Evil 4 while presenting a story that felt more like hard sci-fi than 'zombies in space'. The pace was measured and the puzzles were refreshing. It was one of my favorite games of 2008, but despite the cliffhanger ending I wasn't exactly holding my breath for a sequel, I was completely satisfied with my Dead Space experience, I felt a sequel was unnecessary.
