Ryan has been waiting for years for three games to come to home consoles from the arcade in pristine perfect glory. The Simpsons makes #2 of his three come true, this time with some amazingly subtle yet appreciated modes and bonuses. Read in to find out why this game is worth the 800 MSP right now.

The Simpsons Arcade, along with the 6-Player X-Men and Sunset Riders, is where most of my allowance was spent in my childhood. Those games were also responsible for an insane amount of, "Hey Dad, can I borrow a dollar?" I'd be afraid to know how often I really said that. These games came from a time when arcade cabinets could outshine home consoles so well, if there was a port it was notably inferior. These days, arcade games come home with enhanced graphics or added characters, but in the old day you got what you got and you were happy.

    I was actually pretty excited when I found out this was coming to XBL. I still need to get some points so I can download this. Can't wait!

    sorry but as good as this game is, $10 is too much for a simple port and a few tacked on extra modes with nothing special like an optional HD sprite mode or something like that. this game is 20 years old and is not worth more than $5 (400 pts) IMO, especially when i can easily get it on MAME or whatever else.
