Here is the very first review of Super Mario Galaxy. This is coming from the famous Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu. Super Mario Galaxy was able to achieve a score of 10,9,9,10.

So the games overall score is:

38/40

The four reviewers of the Japanese publication gave it 10, 9, 9, 10, paying special tribute to how well the game uses the Wii Remote, as we've said in our extensive previews.

Alright, great. That's good news for Wii owners. Sounds like we shouldn't be disappointed. I wonder if the more bias sources like GI will also admit how great this game will be when it comes out- after all, Famitsu rarely misjudges. Heh...

We won't be disappointed. I certainly won't be. Famitsu has, imo, one of the most dependable reviews team in the media.

Yay. I guess. I usually don't follow reviews because all that matters to me is if I like it, not other people. But still, good to see that it scored good from a big-name reviewer.
