IGN: Manhunt 2 Review

One of the first gaming sites to review one of the most controversial titles in the history of gaming. The game lost quite some points comparing it to it's predecessor. Could it be because of what Rockstar censored? Anything is possible.

I've played through and beaten both the original and Manhunt 2 multiple times on both difficulty levels, and while it's great to see Rockstar start to make this into a "franchise," it feels as though a number of things went missing in the sequel.

    Actually, according to the review, the biggest flaw was the fact that the game is much easier than the original Manhunt.

    I've never played Manhunt before. But is it really that bloody and gory that they had to take some stuff out.

    If what Seeker X says is true, that's indefinitely what made the rating go down.

    Who cares if you have a great and beautiful game, if the game lasts all of 3 hours. Just another downside to the genre, really. You have to be crazy about graphics and gore to play games purely based on a storyline of fighting, since it doesn't last long.

      Whoa whoa, they never said the game was short. I just said that it was easier than Manhunt. The editting of the gore was also a factor but not a big one at that, it's stuff like the enemy A.I. or the fact that killing enemies is easy enough as it is.

    I bought it today and I've played through the first few chapters of the 'sane' (easy) difficulty, and I don't think it's too easy at all. Granted, I've never played the original, but it's not overly easy. Personally, I think the biggest flaw is with the camera. I find it tricky a lot to get it to face the right way. It's still a great game so far though.

    The game got pretty mediocre reviews from many sites. Most sites claim blurring out the executions was a huge reason to why it got such a low rating.

      To be honest, I don't think the distorted executions take away that much from the game. Sure, it'd be cool to have them undistorted, but it's not like you don't know what you're doing, especially with the Wii's motion controls.

    Wow another bad score damn, i for one can't say anything on the difficulty but who cares if it easier. As long as its awesome and the gameplay is good does that really matter. Oh im assuming the real reason for the low score is what they censored and camera angle. Another critic expectation failed and had to give another PS game 7.5 rating.
