The first review is out for the highly anticipated Devil May Cry 4 from Capcom, and the overall score the game received was a 85/100. However, since objective scoring is by far one of the most useless parts of the review, let's pay attention to what they said. Granted, it's from a German GamePro, so we can settle for just looking through the bullet points, unless someone wants to take a crack at the article/review, and all ten pages of it (All scans provided at source).
The full breakdown of the Pros/Cons list is in the quote.
In this same NeoGAF thread, there is also additional information about the game. The PS3 version will have optional Motion Sensing support, where you can control the camera by tilting the Sixaxis. The PS3 version will also require a 5 GB install, whereas the 360 version there will be no option for an install.

That's a lot worse than I expected this to score. I was expecting mid-90s. Although 85 isn't a bad score, it's just not what I expected from DMC4.
That said, I'm still gonna pick this up on release date.
The Pros clearly outweigh the Cons, but can't say I'm too enthused about a bland antagonist or backtracking. Sounds like the soundtrack is as good as always, though. ^^
Nothing beats Devils Never Cry from DMC3...well, nothing from the DMC series at least.
But overall, that's a pretty good review. And I'll definitely be picking up this game when it's released.
I do hate gameplay that involves backtracking though....I can deal with som repetitive stuff (I play NIS games, it REQUIRES a lot of repetetive tasks, to do well in)
Back tracking its not a problem to be honest. I don't see why most would see a problem with it. As for being tedious thats subject to opinion. Hell cons are all opinions anyway, besides backtracking. I mean what others find interesting and good, others will dislike. So don't listen to this. 85/100 is a great score, and a score which i felt it was going to get. But i can't wait to play this.
