Sims 2 Castaway review

SSJ3 Trunks | January 05, 2008 | Reviews | Playstation 2
The new Sims game for the Playstation 2 has been reviewed by 1up and got a mediocre 6.8/10. This version of the Sims makes you a castaway on an island and you must survive...
The biggest difference between this and other Sims games is that players have to construct everything their Sims desire or need. Money is nonexistent in the game, forcing players to search for and gather the actual materials that are needed to make everything. If you want a bed or a shower, you had better be ready to chop down some bamboo, trees, vines, and everything else you might need in real life. Fans of fetch quests in MMORPGs will find their needs met, as it's really easy to lose track of time as you keep jumping from one tiny goal to the next.

If you ask me, it seems to me they're running out of ideas...exactly HOW many of us wind up on an abadoned island? The Sims are supposed to be similar, not...extraordinary...

Yeah, they are generally meant to be similar, but still, an out of the ordinary spin can be a nice change.
