Running out to buy the new Turok tonight at midnight? You might want to read GameLemon.com's take on it first. Break away from stale old review sites to one with a humorous slant on the latest games, and real reactions from gamers like you, giving you the scoop on whether a game is worth your hard-earned cash.

Truer to the original than the original itself, Turok is a pure shooter, no doubt about it. There are no puzzles, no complex objectives, just you trying to kill the baddies before they kill you.

"Dino killing at its best... which is kinda so-so"? Pfft. Dino Crisis was dino killing at it's best - that game was ace.
Turok couldn't hold a candle to that.

      A-*bleep*ING-MEN!!!!!!

Dino Crisis (1) is probably my favorite game of all time. I would kill for a PS3 remake or a worthy sequel.

I finished this game a few days ago. The main enemies are the soldiers, NOT the dinosaurs. This game is about completing the games objective, and trying to survive. Some people mistaken this to be a type of dino hunting game, but it's not.

Sorry, folks. I was never on the PS One bandwagon and missed those games. The title has been amended.

I didn't even bother with the demo for this game. It just looks so average.

Old franchises die hard in these days of mega game publishers. Trouble is, reviving franchises is a tough business, with attempts squarely failing in 7 out of 10 cases (optimistic estimate ). Yet, paradoxically, in the eyes of the Marketing departments at big publishers, they are "easy wins", because there is already a name to sell. In reality, I think you have to work twice as hard to make a new version of something that is consistent with the original, yet can also stand independently and demonstrate its own innovations. More often than not, though, only the first (easier) of these goals is accomplished, and here we have another muscled, but ultimately lifeless body on a our hands.

The game is unbelievable, there is NO other game with more realistic animal AI. The compies(very small harmless ones) follow me around, cock their heads, and if I kill one of them, they swarm and murder me...like the chickens from zelda

The raptors TACKLE,BITE,TAIL WHIP,and pounce, and...they are stupid. Go get the pretty flare, big boy!

The Rex is the definition of badassery, and is hell better then the t rex fight from turok evolution. The serpent was a nice gift too

The only way you can appreciate this game, is if you are into the kind of stuff the game advertises, if you hate dinosaurs and killing soldiers, and following objectives, then dont buy the game, simple as that.

And DINO CRISIS PWNed, but it holds no candle to the new TUROK.

I don't know if it's that simple man. I kill soldiers all day, but not all soldier-killing games are created equal. In the end this isn't a BAD game, but is it good enough to stand in line with Gears Of War or Resistance: Fall of Man? I don't think so.

I miss the N64 original. It's an okay game, but it's not exactly a must-buy.

If it's not amazing, it's not the best there is. I can think of better gameplay ideas for a Dino hunting game, that doesn't include killing soldiers either. I'm thinking in terms of free-roam, hiking, weapon-making, tree-climbing, dino-killing survival.
