This is part of my Late To The Party series, in which I review those not-so-new titles. This time, it is The Simpsons Game for the Xbox 360.

The Simpsons Game doesn’t really offer anything new in terms of gameplay and can be beaten in a day or two. It is your pretty generic mix of beat-em-up and platforming elements with the exception of a few additions. There could have been more variety, and while they did a superb job recreating Springfield, there are no activities to partake in besides building up your trophy collection. Co-op was heavily underutilized, and would’ve helped stifle the feeling of repetitiveness. But regardless of the game’s faults, this is one of the best Simpsons games to date, and is a must-play for its humor alone. Fan of the show? Play this game. Consider yourself a gamer? Play this game. Whether you’re one of these or both, you’ll appreciate the effort put into this giant parody of the game industry.

I do believe you did well with your review. Pretty accurate imo.

Thanks. It is my shortest review ever. Anyone who has read my other ones (when they were Neoseeker User Reviews) know they usually ran 4-6 pages long. I am trying to go with a shorter format as you can see, but I am worried whether or not I described the game well enough to give people a somewhat good idea of it.

No need to worry, you touched on the main things like the humour and gameplay and gave enough details to get an idea of what the game is like.
