It's been a long time coming, but the wait is almost over. After suffering numerous delays, Super Smash Bros. Brawl will finally be released in less then a week. And according to IGN, the wait was totally worth it.
Brawl received an overall score of 9.5/10: with IGN praising the graphics ("Everything runs in 480p, 16:9 and at 60 frames"), audio ("One of the best soundtracks ever created"), gameplay ("Tight control, more balanced character move sets, new final smashes and more"), load-times ("cartridge-fast speed in which you can navigate Brawl's character and stage selection screens"), and replayability. ("Destined to be played for years thanks to spectacular offline and online multiplayer modes. One of the great four-player games of all time")
Masahiro Sakurai and his team at Sora have drowned the fighter in high-caliber presentational extras, from a superb soundtrack to gorgeous full-motion cut-scenes. These, coupled with all of the characters and stages to see and master, the many unlockable trophies and stickers, the stage builder, the screenshot and replay tools, and so much more, combine for an exceptionally deep experience overrun with replay value.
You will play the game to death when you get it. But unlike so many single-player hits, Metroid and Mario included, you will still be playing and consequently loving Brawl in the months and years to come. It is one of the great multiplayer titles of the generation and simply not to be missed.

It should better be as good as it says or I'll eat a dog.
But yes there are obviously some flaws otherwise it would have been a perfect 10. I watched the video review and they said:
-Load times at the beginning while playing cutscenes were bad.
-The subspace Emissary is not as long or smooth as a regular RPG (it isn't supposed to be though)
-Some of the characters are clones
Other than that, they said it was great.
2) Pretty much like you said, it isn't suppose to be a RPG.
3) I'll be happy, the day, once everyone realises there's NO CLONES in Brawl. Some might look similiar, but some of Melee clones' B moves are unique animation wise, they have different standard A attacks, some like Ganondorf have a different final smash, and even if some of them have the same final smash, their differences will make a total impact on the gameplay.
The game has to be perfection in every way for its time to deserve even close to a ten. Or at least needs to excel in something greatly and outweigh and overshadow where it may fall at.
