GamingShogun Reviews the Antec 900 Gaming Case

JelalTrueshot | March 18, 2008 | Reviews | Gaming Tech/Hardware
Antec has a long history of PC case building. They came out with the 900 gaming case in an attempt to appeal to the hardcore-gamer who needs the best airflow possible. In addition to having three 120mm fans and 1 200mm fan on the unit, the user can install two additional 120mm's should they need more. Antec's 900 is also inexpensive, ranging from $70 to $120 dollars depending on the retailer.
Conclusion: Even with its few quirks such as not having a sliding motherboard tray, this is bar none the BEST gaming case I have ever seen. It is also the most gamer-centric. The Antec 900 will definitely be turning heads at any LAN tournament while also allowing you to overclock your hardware, thanks to its intense cooling.

These cases are awesome. They are pretty large, but the cooling it provides is just superb. The LED lights are cool looking too; my friend got one and he showed me how it looks in the dark.

Had this one a while back to play with, it's not bad but given that or the Performance series, I'd take the P180,182 or 190 over it in a second. My 180 that I use for daily work is sleek and silent (although the ATI inside screams when it wants during gaming x_X)

My pride and vanity prevent me from gettiong an ultra quiet one or one perforated like swiss cheese; it must have pretty lights and be visually appealing. It is my curse...

Having said this I haven't seen much from Antec that "stands out" in that respect, though it certainly stands out in terms of cooling and efficiency.

The original Performance One series catered to that, well via the addition of a windowed side panel. I actually liked that case quite a bit, but for me the P180 seals the deal since it's a bit nice to be able to work at night without humming around. Plus it's nice to have a case that you don't hear when you head off to bed.
