Although I use the Classic Controller the majority of the time, I actually sort of like the Wii Remote. It's control scheme is simple and there's no messing about with wires. Plus it supports rumble and audio snippets through the speaker, which is always nice.

I tried the classic controller this morning; I was not a fan in the least.

I occasionally play a round or two with the Wiimote for the reason that a tourny is going on soon where participants have to use it and have characters randomly chosen. Worst rules ever.

I guess I had a different experience with the Clasic Controller since I never owned Melee on the GameCube.

I like the Gamecube controller and the Wiimote + Numchuck.
I haven't actually played this game but my opinion is from other experiences with controllers.
