Games Radar decided to take a look at the most difficult Pokemon to catch of all time. There are only three Pokemon which have been put in this category. The three which have received this, err, honor are Chansey, Feebas and Deoxys, each of which have varying reasons for there toughness.

There are some Pokemon that are just a pain in the butt to catch - legendaries, Pokemon that run around the map, honey tree Pokemon, etc. Thankfully, as the Pokemon games have progressed, many of these Pokemon are much easier to catch in Diamond/Pearl than they were in the forerunners. Still, it makes us reminisce about the good old days. We had our fair share of frustrations back then, but it all seems a bit funny now. This week's Pokemusings is a flashback dealing with some extremely difficult-to-catch Pokemon. Let's take a trip down memory lane!

I thought that catching a Tauros in the Safari Zone was alot harder than catching a Chansey. Tauros usually ran away as soon as you entered a battle against it. >_>

And let's not forget Mew! We all thought that Mew was a Pokemon that you could catch after obtaining the other 150.
But then it was finally announced that only way to get him is to to to a Pokemon convention and get him traded to you, or use a glitch.

What the hell type of Tauros were you guys fighting? Everyone I fought stared me down for at least 3 Turns. Now, Feebas was a complete bitch to capture. It took me and all of my friends forever to find. Good Thing I legit Hack now.

@ The Deoxys Comment: Screw Events, I have Hacks!

chansey dont have NOTHING on feebas. feebas is easily way harder to get than any other pokemon. deoxys just costs you 30$ for the AR youre going to eventally need if you want him that damn much.

I remember on Pokemon Pearl - I just got past the part with the Psyducks and I found a Chansey in the grass. I threw my only great ball, and with some magnificent stroke of luck I caught it. It can be a real bastard to catch though.

Feebas wasn't that hard, you just had to fish in every square of water in 2 areas iirc. Although there was only something like a 1/5 chance of it appearing.

Tbh, I hate the ones with weird requirements the most. "Show up at some random patch of grass at 6 A.M. on Thursday morning". Stupid Drifblim.

Toughest-To-Get? Most difficult to obtain. Hardest to get.

Feebas equals the hardest. No questions. I mean it verges on the ridiculous trying to catch him.

Feebas was hard to capture, yet I caught one. The games make the pokemon hard to capture so that they're more rare, and less people have them. I would prefer if they kept it this way, so you could brag to your friends about your pokemon you caught =D

I would have thought Mew would be in that list. I have caught a Chansey many a time in my old Pokemon Blue, but never even seen a Mew. As far as I know you have to go to a convention to get it.

Latios and Cresselia and them are hard as well since they run away after one move...

Yeh but they can be legitamtely obtained and the master ball comes in there. Chansey is a b*itch to catch with safari balls. Feebas is in 6 tiles and Deoxys needs a special ticket, though so do some others. Which doesn't make sense?

You can use wobbuffet, or trapinch, or any pokemon with that special ability to prevent them from fleaing. It's much more easier =)

        theundertakergonzo Apr 21, 08
Yeh that does make it much easier but then again you can just clone the master ball in Emerald to have a lot of master balls to catch them all .

THere's only one master ball, and then there are people who use cheating systems and all that. But you can always use wobbuffet to prevent those pokemon from fleaing

Chansey is the most annoying pile of crap in the world T_T, honestly I went crazy trying to get one xD. Chansey was really easy to get in Red/Blue though, but in FireRed quite a pain >>.
