God of War Kratos rumoured once again to be in Soul Calibur 4

Darth Vader may not be the only PS3 exclusive character to make his way into SCIV, according to the rumor mill of Eletronic Gaming Monthly Kratos will be a combatant in the highly touted fighting game exclusive to the PS3 version of course. When questioned Namco Bandai said they could neither confirm nor deny this which adds a bit more strength to its reliability. Maybe the 360 will get Master Chief?

According to the rumor mill in the August issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly, Kratos is to appear as a PS3 exclusive character in Soul Calibur IV.

The magazine states that Kratos will be the next PS3 character revealed, so if the rumor is in fact true, we should be seeing something soon. Also, this will be the first look at Kratos on next gen hardware, and possibly a first glimpse at what to expect from God of War III. Obviously if Kratos appears in SCIV, Namco has cut some deal with Sony, and could be sharing actual assets or character concepts from the upcoming PS3 exclusive.

    I really hope that this rumour turns out to be true. Kratos would make a fine addition, story-wise with Ares of course, unique gameplay with his weapons.

    Kratos would be a great edition only if there was a customization system on SCIV.

    If there is another 360 exclusive, I would bet it is Ryu Hayabusa....Come on, it just makes sense >_>

    Well, we'll see if there is a Kratos on either version of SC IV >_>

    I find this highly unlikely. Only due to the fact SC4 should as of now be close to being gold or 100% finished. Since its releasing at the end of July.

    Still I don't believe this will happen, nor do I think he needs to be in a fighting game.

      Reasonable doubt is to be expected, especially considering it isn't an official information release. I do share your doubts....

      But still, the shared Star Wars apprentice character was only announced relatively recently as well....

    Bamco has stated that they will keep most of the revelations secret until the game is nearly out. So they could still have some surprises. There is still over a month before it's out, but that's not alot of time.

    Strange that they don't deny it though, if that's indeed true.

    Also, downloadable content, anyone?

    It would be awesome, but why wouldn't he be on the cover if Darth Vadar is?
