Left 4 Dead, Valve's upcoming zombie thriller, is set to be released on the Xbox 360 and PC November 17th 2008. Valve hasn't been as kind to the PlayStation 3 though, but Sony's recent successes with the powerhouse have turned a few heads over at Valve.
"We're always evaluating what's happening in the marketplace and certainly something that's happening in the last couple of months is that Sony's managed to sell some boxes," said Doug Lombardi.
Originally the title was expected to be done by EA if indeed it was ported to the PS3, however now it appears as if we could see Left 4 Dead heading to the console before 2009.
Valve doesn't do PS3. The company's co-founder Gabe Newell isn't a fan, and hasn't been afraid to say so. But Valve's Doug Lombardi has told CVG today that PS3 support could be on the cards as the platforms recent success has raised some eyebrows.
"So whether or not you like developing for that platform, if they've got millions of people connected to that platform and buying their games you have to take it seriously."

Anything to make your e-penis larger i guess, i mean everyone knows people are tougher on the internet as words can kill! Just keep hiding behind your computer monitor knowing forewell no one can hurt you for that attack on Newcloud, feel safe knowing that had you done that in public you would have probably been taken down a peg or two or hell even killed... The internet makes you a big man doesn't it.
if i had an "insane level of hatred" for it i wouldn't say it happened to me. Duh
@ BlackLabel/KernelKruch.. thanks guys
"and that happened to me and pretty much everyone else I know of"
As otherwise you're pretty much speaking for an entire population of system owners with a generalization about failed hardware.
Entirely your choice of course but the accuracy of the statement is diminished by leaving it as is and really is just a magnet for trash talking.
As for Valve bringing L4D over, they very well could allow for it if they think the market could be there for it, they already have a large amount of R&D done on the system from the days of the Orange Box and it's only been growing in general since then.
I mean, Valve doesn't usually play favourites after throwing The Orange Boxy goodness all over the place.
I'm not fussed either way, I have a 360 so I'll be getting it fo sho. ;D
