So it seems, the manual for LittleBigPlanet has been leaked to the internet, perhaps from its previous place on Sony's website. Folks at PS3A picked up on the music credits in it, and you can see what's listed in the quote.

I'm not familiar with any of it really except the Battles track 'Atlas'. Below is the video for it; let's hope the rest of the soundtrack is equally as bizarre and awesome.

I don't know any of those, LOL. But sometimes that's a good thing.
It could mean two things:
1. The soundtrack budget was low.
2. They actually want the music to fit with the mood of the game.
I doubt that LBP's budget was low, so I'll bet it was the second, better reason.
