According to a source that remains anonymous and is close to Blizzard, they revealed to BattleForums that most of the StarCraft 2 development will be delayed until Diablo III is good and ready.

Blizzard has not confirmed or denied this yet.

quote Anonymous source
[Starcraft 2] is still being worked on, but only by a minuscule amount of people compared to what [Blizzard] put on the Diablo 3 team.

This has yet to be confirmed officially by Blizzard, and I personally doubt they will respond. Because this information was leaked unintentionally through a casual conversation with one of our staff members, we can not reveal the name of our source publicly - so to protect this individual and his/her position within Blizzard. Nor can we say that this came directly from Blizzard.

Well, Starcraft 2 isn't really far away from a complete game from what all of us have seen, it's quite possible that D3 has the people at this point because SC2 might be practically golden at this point. Alternatively Blizz could be going for launching both games at once. Either way it's still speculation and we don't know anything. We'll just have to wait for Blizz to say something.

Bullshit they are going to take an almost finished game and put it on hold until they finish a less developed game. Not too mention it would be poor marketing to release both to close to each other. They'll get StarCraft out and the once the initial hype starts to die then they'll kick it up again with Diablo III.

Give it 24 hours and this will be shot down by Blizzard and the 'anonymous source' will be shat on.

This is complete BS. Blizzard themselves have stated that they have dozens and dozens employees dedicated to SC2 alone, including former pro gamers. It's possible to expect at least some news about the beta at BlizzCon '08.
