New Xbox 360 Dashboard update might ship October 28th

In a theory thought up by the author of this article, the dashboard update for the Xbox 360 may come as soon as October 28. How did he arrive at such a specific date? Well, the first reason he states is the fact that Scene it? Box Office Smash will be released October 28, and since it's a Microsoft published which will use the avatar system, it might ship with the new dashboard update. Well, there is always the possibility of the game being pushed back if the dashboard isn't ready yet.

Regardless, the new dashboard is definitely gonna put a new spin on the Xbox 360 experience.

I just read an interesting theory about what the release date for the Fall 2008 Xbox 360 Dashboard might be October 28th.

The theory is that the game Scene It? Box Office Smash is going to be released on the 28th and since it is a Microsoft published game that is going to be the first game that is going to use the new Avatars feature it might ship at the same time as the Xbox 360 Dashboard update. They might include the dashboard update on the game disc so if it is played on an Xbox 360 that is not connected to Xbox Live it will get a chance to have the new update installed so the use will be able to use Avatar with the game.

I reckon the Grand Theft Auto IV downloadable content will be released at the same time too.
