Japanese site Black Out has posted a news bit today stating that Nintendo will be holding an event on October 2nd. This would probably be their Fall Press Conference/Investor's Meeting, which was held on October 10th last year. However, as this is a random source, this information is regarded as a rumor.

Last year's Fall Press Conference gave us news bits such as Sonic in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Monster Hunter 3 being Wii-exclusive.
