Signs have begun to surface that the FPS parkour title Mirror's Edge may well be delayed until next year. With websites have listing the game as shipping early next year as opposed to the holiday release promised. EA's PR rep only further lends credit to this in his opaque answer.

Retail web sites like Gamestop are now showing the PC port of the game as shipping on January 6, 2009. We also got a tip from our reader "Trog" who told us his pre-order for the PC version on Amazon has also changed to the same date. Last week we contacted EA's PR rep for Mirror's Edge who told us, "We haven't officially announced the ship date for Mirror's Edge. All that's been stated is a winter ship release window." That same rep said to expect an official release date "soon" so for the moment tag this story as a rumor.

I'm really looking forward to this game, but I wouldn't mind if it is delayed until next year, there's way too many games coming out over the next few months that I want.

I'm with you on that one. This game is not that high on my priority list and will be overshadowed if released this holiday.

Same thing to be honest. I mean I thought I read about it before that wasn't going to be released in 08.
