Final Fantasy XIII to hit Japan on the 360 after all?

Silver Mirror | October 04, 2008 | Rumor | Playstation 3 XBOX 360
The Tokyo Game Show is fast approaching and rumors and whispers are passing thick and fast about all things Final Fantasy. Including the much anticipated RPG Final Fantasy XIII coming to both the PS3 and 360. According to some anonymous tipsters it appears that Final Fantasy XIII may well come to Japan on the 360 despite previous claims. The rumors being that Microsoft have paid off Square to produce a Japanese port, or that the game will have Japanese subtitles and can be imported from other countries and played in the land of the rising sun.
The second rumor that I received is that Microsoft is paying for a full Japanese port of the game to be launched in Japan with the Playstation 3 version.

Do you really believe that? Beside, it's not like it's going to take a year to port.

Its actually true, that they haven't started the 360 version yet. In fact their exact words was "After the PS3 version is finished were working on the 360 one". Which is the reason why people was complaining cause we didn't want to wait til that version was finished to get ours.

@Killosity There's a difference between establishing themselves and a rise for a week or so with sales. They're not really on the former yet. And they never will be. 360 in Japan is a lost cause, and they should know no amount of games will increase the sales on a monthly basis enough to ever reach Nintendo or Sony.

Well the 360 outsold PS3 in Japan this month. How do you explain that Final? It proved that releasing games aimed at the market does work. The 360 is showing hope in Japan.

          Brain washing?

This months hasn't ended yet Slumpy you mean September, well as I said they have had a good rise now and then. Which isn't saying much considering the PS3 has outsold the 360 almost every month this year so far except 2 months. As far as im concerned, they need alot more consistent japan monthly sales on top over the PS3 before becoming established as Killosity mentioned.

Even it is is true, it seems fair. The 360 continues to try to establish themselves in Japan; it seems logical to have the Final Fantasy series get there for the 360 as well.

Oh don't get me wrong I know that. I said they are TRYING to establish themselves. Its obvious that the 360 is making little ground in Japan, and that it probably won't for awhile, but kudos to them for giving it a go haha. Sony and Nintendo are powerhouses over there.

I know it's a rumor, but I feel like the PS3 is lacking in Squeenix RPGs at the moment. I'd like to at least have a choice of RPGs by them even if some are not the greatest.
