PS3 Firmware 2.50 To Be Released Week Of October 13th

At this stage this is very much a rumour, since without official word, it's incredibly hard for anyone to be certain, but it seems that news has surfaced that the latest firmware update (which will not include Home, but will include the ability to take in-game screenshots) will be released between October 13th and October 19th.

      You can have a private voice chat... though it's not whilst playing a game... but personally I can't wait for in-game screenshots. That's something I'd definitely prefer.

    In-game screenshots across the board (all games) would be very nice....

    Yeah, I wasn't sure if 2.5 would have home. If it doesn't, I guess 2.6 would be coming a lot sooner (based on the promise that Home is coming out by the end of the year).

      I believe this is "In-game screenshots" for each and every game, regardless of whether the developers have coded it in or not (or at least I hope).

      Well according to the person that led me to this article, it wont have Home...

      Yeah but that was one game... wouldn't you want to take screenshots in say... Saints Row 2? or GTAIV? Final Fantasy XIII? etc....

      It surprises you? Even though they said this fall and no more delays, and it's not yet fall?

      It doesn't surprise me It'd surprise me if it doesn't come until next year however

        I was being facetious. Isn't it fall? It sure seems like it out here man, temps have dropped 10-15 degrees at night.....been waking up in the low 40's. That's saying something when you live in Arizona! ^.^

        But anyhow, the promise was for "By the End of the year". So I guess Firmware 2.6 shoul come out before year's end.

        Either that, or someone made a BIG boo-boo by promising home, 100%, for release before the year is up >_>

    Don't really care about in game screen shots that much. I would rather have video thing like Paper mario stated.
