PS3 price 'getting more competitive' in March?

The competitive pricing of Playstation 3 will bring about possible change in the coming year. Hope to compete with closer match with Microsoft XBox 360.

In attendance at the Sony Computer Entertainment Staff Annual Briefing held yesterday in London, an anonymous source going by the alias of ‘Legends’ has just tipped us off on all manner of huge PlayStation news. We must make it clear that D+PAD weren’t in attendance and that we have no reason to doubt the validity of Legends’ claims, but treat this as rumour until confirmed.

* Price cuts coming in March, PS3 performing better in PAL territories than 360

Our source tells us that SCEE President David Reeves took to the stage to discuss the current economic climate and how it shouldn’t affect PlayStation business, though was quick to mention that SCEE will be getting more competitive in price from March 2009 onwards. Our guess is that we’ll be seeing price cuts to PS3 around Easter to tie in with the release of Killzone 2…

        Someone probably deleted it. Although its the same article and source as this one and submitted earlier. I'd love to know the reason behind it. If anything this article should have been deleted due to being a duplicate.

      Majority of what they say is denying only to be truthful. Its like them trying to cover it up, cause they want to bask in the glory of the news.

      Yes it would be stupid, but allot damage is already done. A good percentage of gamers will wait until March to buy one now.

    I personally would love a price cut, but a Christmas one would be much better. I really want one for Christmas, I just hope I can still get one with the economy the way it is... =(

    Sony called it "rumors and speculations" when asked about the leak. I still want to see them release Home before the year is over, like they promised... unless they're going by the Lunar calendar.

    I also want a price cut so we can observe countless PS3 fans across the globe shit their pants.
