Rumored God of War III details

A man on VG Tilthas claimed to have received a good run down on God of War 3. Apparently the final build is going to run at 60fps and 1080P, multiplayer mode and co-op mode are suggested and three new gameplay mechanics which will significantly affect how the game runs will be introduced. He says that the video to be shown at VGA will be short and could only be 20-30 seconds, but will amaze you even with that.

Graphically it is going to set a new standard. Easily eclipsing the detail in Gears of War 2 and uncharted... God of War 3 is set to offer up the most cinematic experiences ever! He was over the moon about how good it looked... he said there is nothing that comes remotely close. "The detail is crafted with highest of care and the animations sell the experience like nothing you've ever seen" .

He was told that the game will be 1080P and 60FPS... He then said it was obvious the footage he seen wasn't, though. So, if they're shooting for 1080P and 60fps and haven't hit it yet that's a good thing... since the game already looks better than anything out there. This is a win for the gamers.

Kratos doesn't look like the only playable in the game. Apparently their might be someone along for the ride... His brother perhaps???

    Well all that is good to hear...if its true, that is. I could see them incorporating online very well with this game. Kinda like the Challenge of the Gods only online. That'd be cool.

    But graphically, I can't wait to see it, with how much everyone is hyping it up to be. It'll be kinda hard to top the Unreal Engine or MGS4, so I'm eager to see how "great" it looks.

      Besides graphics, the rest sounds far more better than anything I'd ever expected. I hope it's true.

    Now if they can finally make a God of War game that has a single player mode lasting over three hours, I would be interested in this series again

      That's only the PSP game(due to disc space 1.8GB's), Chains of Olympus which was that short. The other 2 games was over 9 hours on average if you wasn't looking for all the gorgon Eyes and Phoenix Feathers. Some people registered between 15-20 hours on God of War 1 and 2. So I think you're misinformed about the other 2 games. And by judging the sheer amount of work this game will be, and this being the epic ending of God of War, I'd assume on average without doing all the other stuff its going to be twice as long as the first two PS2 titles. Thanks to Blu-ray and the space.

    Misinformed? I played through God of War in only several hours. It was the first game I beat in one sitting since the old Super Mario Bros. games. I may have exaggerated with three hours, but in no way did it take me near nine hours to beat both of the first two games.

      Don't know what GOW games you've been playing, but the first had a story reaching around 7-8 hours, and the second could take anywhere between 10-16 hours, depending on how good you are. In terms of length they were pretty good, I'd say.

        That sounds about right. GOW2 is almost twice as long as the first which was an improvement since the first was short.

        Hopefully this one exceed GOW2. I want it to be at least 20 hours with some sidequests to give it more replayability.

        Edit: Fixed. I meant to say 20 hours.

    they've been hyping it up, and telling everyone the graphics are 'groundbreaking' etc, they've got a lot to live up to.

      It's called a trailer. Also this is a rumor atm, so who knows what the gameplay will entail.

      As I stated, Santa Monica studious with the God of War dev team since God of War 2 don't want to spoiler anything about the game plot or gameplay too early. They, and even Cory Barlog, admitted they showed too much of it for the second game.
