Monster Hunter 3 seemed like such an oddity when it was announced exclusively for the Wii. Previous games had always been on Playstation consoles, and the odd silence afterwards didn't exactly help either. However it appears Capcom are still on the fence on whether to release it on other platforms or not, a representative apparently telling a gaming magazine that Monster Hunter 3’s Wii-exclusivity is not yet final.

A rough translation of a blurb from a foreign gaming magazine is as follows: “The decision of Monster Hunter 3’s Wii-exclusivity is not yet final.” This bit of information comes from a Capcom representative. The thing is, as was mentioned, the line from the representative is a rough translation. Moreover, we can’t be 100% sure that this rumor is true until Capcom officially confirms/denies the rumor.

I would love for this game to come out on every system. I have yet to play the first two and I heard good things from both so it would be great to sit back and play an a game like this on my 360.

As much as I'd like it on 360, I'd wait until Capcom speaks on it directly.

I suppose Capcom just wants to avoid the whole "Nintendo 5" debacle this time around.

Must get a PS3 version of this! Please, with netplay! I am tired of having to track down friends ad hoc to play it on the PSP.

My greatest dream, please come to the PS3, with tons of DLC with new monsters, areas to explore, and items..

    I <3 Monster Hunter!

My *bleep*ing Monster Hunter: Freedom 2 is gathering dust because of the fact that no one here actually owns a PSP, I really don't think I can agree any more.

it was already canceled as a ps3 title because it costs too much to develop for. i will roll my eyes hard if they decide they actually DO want it on the ps3 afterall. thats just messy.

They should just make it multi. It would be better for the game and earn them twice the cash.

Pretty stupid not to. Although capcom are bitches when it comes to MH, they didnt even bother to release MH2 PS2 outside Japan, Nor did MH frontier(PC version) make it out.

You're thinking about the Freedom games, this one's for console just like Monster Hunter and Monster Hunter 2.

I don't believe this, it's odd to leave one system for another then just turn around and branch back out to that system and even another one.

Seems kinda fitting to be on the Wii, considering the type of game it is, but i'd imagine it selling quite well if it went multi-platform. But, I suppose every console has it's exclusive games, and the Wii deserves a decent one I suppose...

The Wii is the LAST place it fits into, to be pretty honest. The games (like the original Monster Hunter and Outbreak games) are based on online multiplayer. The OTHER consoles actually do better in that department.
