Black 2 In The Works?

This game has been rumored for some time and even more rumors are appearing. First denied by Criterion games when questioned about the rumors. but varies bloggers have seen the game pop up on their website, only to be quickly taken down. The first game did receive good reviews and did end with a cliff hanger.

With Burnout Paradise rolling in enough free download content to be safely called a current-gen classic, developer Criterion seems to have moved on to its next project... a sequel to visceral PS2 and Xbox FPS Black.

According to various internet bloggers, a listing for the shooter follow-up, called 'Black: Second Mission', briefly appeared on the developers website and has since been removed.

The game was listed, expectedly, for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

    Black was so close to being one of the best shooters of the last-generation. If the whole game played like the amazing first-level it would have definietely been up there. Unfortunately, poor level design - lack of checkpoints and punishing difficulties - and a complete lack of any multiplayer meant that it never entered the upper echelon.

    However, in terms of shooting mechanics, Black was up there with the very best. It was ahead of it's time, I'd say. If they can release a sequel which deals with the faults of the first, then Criterion have a real winner on their hands.

    I never had the chance to play the first game, even though I wanted to. None of my video rental stores around me carried it, and I didn't want to buy it since I figured I could beat it quickly.

      I'm definitely not wondering that.I traded the game in because I didn't really like the game.

      Hey there bad guy, I'm going to shoot you 5 times with a Shotty and you're going to get up each time.

      I found Black to be a rather tedious game.

    Well, if Criterion are working on a sequel, they'll have to make it to stand out of the plethora of FPS games out there.
