It's been over ten years since the last Pilotwings game was released, so it's about time the series was given new life on the Wii. A rumor has surfaced that a new Pilotwings game is in the works and will be released sometimes next year. Apparently, it will also have Balance Board and Mii support. Interesting ...

The last game in the series, Pilotwings 64, was released in 1996, so a sequel is long overdue. Rumours of a Wii version for the franchise have been around for years, and now LiveWii claims to have information that it will materialise during the first half of 2009.

Awesome! Would be nice for the Wii Wheel to be used with more games, even if it's flying ones. This game would be great with motion sensors.

Why would it be likely false? Pilot Wings is a Nintendo series that just begs to become a Wii game eventually. I'd be more surprised if it never does.

I remember this game when it first came out for Nintendo 64. I was so crazy with the game.
