New Ratchet and Clank to be shown at GDC?

Insomniac has released a game every year so far since the launch of the PS3. It has become their cycle, so its most likely true that we will get the new Ratchet and Clank this fall, but when do we get to see it? Rumors are coming out now saying we might geta chance to see the new Ratchet and GDC '09, that Feb. 17-22nd.

Insomniac is an incredible developer. They have 2 teams constantly working on seperate projects, and so far have managed to produce 3 full retail games and 1 PSN game in just 2 years for the PS3. And because of their development cycle and their work attitude, we have known a new Ratchet title will hit during 2009.

But while it's been known for quite some time that a new Ratchet game would be coming in 2009, details are still scarce on the title. Rumors have surfaced recently though that Insomniac is hard at work on the new title, and it may even make it's debut at the Game Developers Conference next month. Looking at Insomniac's track record, Resistance 2 was first announced in February 2008, so this rumor may hold some truth.

    To be honest I hope they do keep up with the one game a year thing it is really nice to have such an awesome studio pumping out two of my favorite AAA games, one every year.

    You know how at the end of Tools of Destruction, a message popped up informing us that the next Ratchet and Clank game was slated for Autumn 2009?

    Yeah, kind of a big give away that we should start seeing R&C6 details soon.

    Well of course we're getting it this year. No doubt about that, Insomniac have said they will continue to put out a game a year.

    Also . . . I don't know when we'll first hear/see it. Though I'm not in too much of a hurry because it's still going to come in the fall . . . and I'd rather start the anticipation for the game during the summertime and not here in the first or second month, only to wait all year for it!

    I really hope this is true because ***SPOILER***

    Dr. N is back XD Jesus, if R&C 6 is anything like UYA I'm going to have so much bloody fun. I hope they include multiplayer this time round', or tgey could do it like they did on the PS2 and have the last two games be online and the first two not.

    Also hope the game is a lot harder the ToD & that they use both Trophies (better be good ones, too, unlike Resistance 2) and traditional skillpoints. Guns should also be better and there should be higher prices on weapons/armor/other stuff.

    I really want them to wow like they did on the PS2 again.

      Haha, yup! I agree with all points you mentioned, except for online and difficulty. They should have difficulty levels though. And Online . . . I don't know, I'm not much of an online gamer

      Unless it's done really, really well and integrated into the Ratchet Universe and way of doing things.

      Yeah but there's really only one player in the series to play as during the entirety of the game: Ratchet (or Clank during clank parts). How could they work in four players during the whole game? It wouldn't really sound much like a ratchet game (to me).

    They had different skins for Ratchet in the online mode before, which worked well. Can't wait for the next game as well.
